Insider Tips for Disney World's
Animal Kingdom
 |
|
 |
The
shows are the big attraction at Animal
Kingdom. Plan your day around the show
times and wait times. There is a Tip Board in
Discovery Island. A new character you will see
at Animal Kingdom’s Dinoland this year
is Lucky the Dinosaur, the first-ever
free-roaming audioanimatronics creation. He
will sign autographs too. Lucky’s home
is California Adventure, so this will be a limited time experience at Disney World.
The whole family will enjoy the Kilimanjaro
Safaris trip—animals in their natural
habitat.
Discovery Island® has live entertainment
in the late afternoon.
Eats: One of my favorite places to eat is the
Rainforest Cafe (priority seating) A breakfast
bonanza is served up with Eggs Benedict, French
Toast, Mexican-style breakfast pizza, waffles,
fruit plates, and sirloin steak with scrambled
eggs; or try a breakfast smoothie. Approximate
cost $12/adult and $8/child. For dinner there
is a wide assortment of the usual and unusual
appetizers, soups and salads, burgers, sandwiches,
seafood specialties, pizza, steak, chicken,
and pasta. Complete the dining experience with
a homemade dessert like Key Lime Pie or Volcano
Brownie Cake. Kids too have their choice of
everything from pastas and pizza to seafood
and hot dogs. Approximate cost is $20-$40/adult
and $10/child.
Animal Kingdom closes early. If you have a park
hopping option, use the cool evening hours to
enjoy one of the other theme parks.
