Searching For Car Rentals at
the Orlando Airport
If
you do not have a car, you are limited to where
you can eat while in Orlando and you have to
depend on someone else’s schedule for
your transportation. I prefer to have a car
rental for the week. Orlando Airport
Car Rentals locations are a convenient
place to pick up a vehicle. The rentals cost
is not that great and we can drive to the parks
faster and more comfortably than taking the
public transportation—and no crowding!
Plus we can come and go at our own pace with
no waiting. If you are standing at a water park
in a soaking rain with lightning striking, you
are glad to have a car.
If you are renting a car,
consider these car discount leaders and check
for specials on their web site. A recent base
rate special at E-Z was $75/week on an economy
car and at Dollar was $116/week on an intermediate
size car—sign up for their Travel Finds

to like AAA or corporate.

The car rental prices here are given as an indication
and are subject to change. Be sure to check
current pricing and watch for specials that
may be offered from ANY of the car rental companies
before you book. Especially check Sidestep,
which will search several different car rental
companies for you. With a little patience and
watching, you will likely be able to find a
better deal than their standard pricing.
Be sure to compare prices
after taxes are added; note there is an additional
8.64% tax added to rental for cars that are
located off the airport site. There are two
toll booths on the expressway to the Orlando
international Airport. The current toll is $1
for a 2-axle car at each booth.
