Lara Chartier, webmaster
at Only
Orlando and a short term rental property
owner, has provided DW Insider with this helpful
information if you are considering Orlando
condo rentals:
Condo Rentals
Orlando condo rentals are
typically located in what is referred to as
a “resort community,” meaning
there is a communal pool, spa, clubhouse,
playgrounds, tennis courts, BBQ and maybe
a few children’s group activities.
Like every hotel facility, every resort community
will vary. The more amenities available, the
higher the price will be charged.
Condo
rentals in Orlando typically will only rent
for 7 nights with Check-In on Friday, Saturday
or Sunday. There are exceptions if they find
they have too much availability. They are
not concentrated in any one Orlando area,
so the choice and availability are greater
in this market than the single family home
rental market.
Condo rentals are plentiful in the Orlando
area and anyone looking for a great deal can
find one. Some 1 bedroom condo rentals as
low as $300 for the week.
Condo rentals tend to have 1-3 bedrooms and
1-2 baths with 4-8 guests per unit. The units
are between 600-1200 square feet. They typically
have a stacked washer and dryer available
in each unit and all the basic essentials
needed to “set up house.” They
are run much like a hotel with the exception
there is no daily maid service or cleaning.
Advantages of a Orlando Condo Rental
1. More Choice for Location
2. Less Expensive
3. Resort Amenities
Disadvantages of a Orlando Condo Rental
1. Set Check In/Check Out day
2. Parking Can Be Difficult
3. Only Basic Items Available
4. Everything Is Extra $$$
5. No Daily Maid Service
6. No Privacy
